Irene Li on Unsung Restaurants & Hope

The newest episode of A Hungry Society is a conversation with Irene Li, award winning chef and owner of Mei Mei Restaurant in Boston.

I spoke to Irene about how she’s doing, what running Mei Mei has been like since the coronavirus crisis started and the Unsung Restaurant Fund, a fund that she and a friend started to highlight the immigrant owned and run restaurants in Boston. It’s an amazing initiative that helps get relief to businesses that need it most that don’t have thousands of Instagram followers, email lists or pr companies.
